About this project

Backpack is a tunnel engine written in Go, designed for connecting servers in Iran with servers abroad (kharej). It ships as a single binary with no dependencies, providing both an interactive CLI and a web dashboard. **How it works:** - End users connect to forwarded ports on the Iran server, which carries connections through one transport to the kharej server holding the real service. - Two modes: **Reverse tunnel** (kharej dials Iran, 12 transports) and **Direct tunnel** (Iran dials out, 6 carriers, full IP tunnel with GRE + Noise encryption). **Reverse transports:** TCP, TCP Mux, TCP + Stealth (Noise layer, no fingerprint), TCP + PCK (kernel-bypass), UDP, UDP + KCP + FEC, UDP + QUIC, WS, WS Mux, WSS (Chrome handshake + decoy website), WSS Mux, and xDi (ICMP). **Direct carriers:** udp, quic, pck, sni, xdi, and spoof (forged source IP). **Key features:** - UDP forwarding on any port (works with Xray, Shadowsocks, WireGuard, games) - Camouflage: Stealth random bytes, WSS decoy site - Failover with health scoring, transport fallback chain, multi-exit steering - Self-healing watchdog, automatic rollback on broken updates - Health Check with fixes, Link Test for route measurement and transport recommendation - Telegram alerts through tunnel peers - Managed servers for fleet control from one screen - Offline installer, verified checksum downloads - Performance presets (Balance, Turbo, Aggressive, Throughput), kernel tuning (BBR + fq) - Security: two-factor sign-in, scoped API tokens, audit records, PROXY protocol v2, per-tunnel limits - Web panel under secret path, JSON logs, SOCKS5/HTTP proxy - Monitoring: live CPU/RAM/disk/traffic, per-tunnel status, KCP retransmits, loss, FEC repairs - One-file backup/restore, stable/beta update channels **Install:** One command as root: `bash <(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AminMGMT/BackPack/main/install.sh)` **Documentation:** Extensive tutorials per transport, reference docs, troubleshooting guide, Persian summaries on every page.
