About this project
go2rtc is a camera streaming application supporting dozens of formats and protocols. It is available as a zero-dependency binary for Windows, macOS, Linux, and FreeBSD, as well as via Docker and Home Assistant.
Key capabilities include:
- Streaming input from public protocols (RTSP, WebRTC, RTMP, ONVIF, MJPEG), private protocols (GoPro, Ring, Nest, TP-Link Tapo, Xiaomi, Tuya, Wyze, HomeKit, Hikvision ISAPI, Roborock), files (HLS, FLV, MPEG-TS, WAV), devices (ALSA, V4L2), and scripts (FFmpeg, exec, echo).
- Streaming output in popular formats including WebRTC, HLS, RTSP, RTMP, MP4/MSE, MJPEG, MPEG-TS, HomeKit, and WebTorrent.
- Streaming ingest for RTSP, RTMP, WebRTC, MJPEG, FLV, and MPEG-TS.
- Two-way audio support for many camera protocols.
- On-the-fly transcoding via FFmpeg only when necessary.
- Publishing streams to services like YouTube and Telegram via RTMP/RTMPS.
- Mixing tracks from different sources into a single stream.
- Auto-matching client-supported streaming formats and codecs.
