About this project
PagibleAI CMS is an API-first content management system designed to be installed into any existing Laravel application. It aims to combine the ease of use of WordPress with the structured content management capabilities of Contentful, enhanced by AI for content generation, image manipulation, and translation.
Key features include:
- **Structured Content**: Manage content like Contentful with custom elements.
- **AI-Powered**: Generate or enhance drafts and images using providers like OpenAI, Google Gemini, Clipdrop, and DeepL.
- **Hierarchical Pages**: Drag-and-drop page tree management.
- **Shared Content**: Reuse content across multiple pages.
- **Versioning**: Save, publish, schedule, and revert drafts with full audit trail.
- **APIs**: Extremely fast JSON frontend API and versatile GraphQL admin API.
- **Multi-language, Multi-domain, Multi-tenancy**: Supports complex deployments.
- **Importers**: Import from WordPress and other CMS platforms.
- **MCP API**: 30+ tools for LLM-driven content management.
- **Full-text Search**: Across SQLite, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
- **Paid Page Access**: Sell subscriptions or one-time access via Stripe, Paddle, or Mollie.
- **Scalable**: From a single SQLite-backed page to database clusters serving millions of pages.
Architecture is a modular monorepo with sub-packages for Core, Admin (Vue.js), GraphQL, JSON:API, AI, Search, MCP, Backup, Import, Cashier, and Themes. Pages use a nested set tree for organization, with immutable version snapshots for content changes.
Installation requires PHP 8.2+, Composer, and a Laravel 11.x/12.x/13.x application. Setup involves `composer require aimeos/pagible`, `php artisan cms:install`, and `php artisan migrate`. The admin panel is accessible at `/cmsadmin`. For paid access, install a Cashier provider (Stripe, Paddle, or Mollie) and configure webhooks and access roles.
Configuration includes AI provider API keys, file upload disks, and HCaptcha for form protection. Scheduled publishing and cleanup commands are provided for maintenance. Security measures include HTMLPurifier sanitization, CSP headers, rate limiting, and URL validation.
The project is MIT licensed and open source.
