This repository is an 'awesome' curated list for interactive fiction (IF). It begins with introductory material for newcomers, linking to Emily Short's Introduction to Interactive Fiction and the Brass Lantern beginner's guide. The main list covers authoring tools: ADRIFT, Adventuron, Aiee!, Alan, Curveship, Dialog, Hugo, Inform 6, Inform 7, Ink, Patter, T.A.B., TADS, Tuvi, Twine, Undum, Varytale, Versu, VNovels, XVAN, Yarn and Yarn Spinner. It also includes Spanish-language Superglús and Italian-language Confabula. A separate section lists interpreters across platforms: Fizmo, Frotz and Gargoyle for cross-platform use; macOS Spatterlight and Zoom; Windows Glulxe and Windows Frotz; mobile options Twisty, Text Fiction, iPhone Frotz and CliFrotz for PalmOS; and browser-based Parchment. A mapping tools section describes IFM and points to the IF Archive mapping tools index. The README states that the list was created by Yakira Dixon in 2014 and is currently maintained by Tristano Ajmone, under CC0 1.0 Universal.
